Funeral services with military honors for Terry William Greene, 66, will be held on Saturday May 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Friendship Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. Mr. Greene died on Friday May 6, 2022 after a sudden illness in Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital in Columbia, MO. He was born in Dyer County, TN son of the late Coy W. and Elsie Forbes Greene and had lived there until moving to Missouri eighteen years ago. He was Baptist in belief, a veteran of the United States Navy, and a retired tool maker for Barton Company in Mexico. MO. He was married to Candace Dowlin Greene of Madison, MO who survives. Other survivors include daughters, Amanda Winegarden (Jared) , Katy Sego, both of Dyersburg, brother Dempsy Greene (Cynthia) Dyersburg, grandchildren, Tristan Newsom, Brianna Clark, Bradley Clark, Sydney Peckenpaugh, Morgan Peckenpaugh, niece Emily Kolwyck, nephew Jerry W. Weddington. He was preceded by a brother Billy Greene and a sister, Brenda Weddington. Terry loved his land, his animals, his tractors, his country, his friends, neighbors and most of all his family and his God. He enjoyed sheep farming, fishing, wood working, harvesting his hay and taking care of everyone. He had a big and tender heart, quick wit, infectious laugh and a smile that would light up the room. Pallbearers will be Brad Baker, Jamie Sego, Jerry Wayne Weddington, Tristan Newsom, Bradley Clark and Sydney Peckenpaugh. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Lambert and Larry Powell.
