Mrs. Amelia J. Williams' Obituary
Funeral services for Amelia J. Williams, 91, will be held Saturday March 3, 2018 at 11:00 A. M. at the Maury City United Methodist Church with Revs. Larry Kendrick and Susie Riley officiating with burial following in the Maury City Cemetery. Mrs. Williams was born in Crockett County daughter of the late Ernest A. and Sudie Cates Jetton and had lived her entire life in the Maury City Community. She was married to Johnny Williams who preceded her in death in 2012 and was a retired beautician and teacher. Until her illness, she was an active member of the Maury City United Methodist Church serving in many capacities. Mrs. Williams was known for her delicious caramel pies throughout the community. Survivors include two daughters, Susie Riley (Rick) Maury City, TN, Johnna K. Slayton (Harber), Crockett Mills, TN, son Eddie Williams (Yancy) Collierville, TN, sister, Nancy Ward, Maury City, TN, sister in law, Karen Jetton, Bells, TN, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Dewain Riley, Jim Slayton, John Slayton, Mason Graham, Garrett Nanney, and Eric Satterthwaite. Visitation will be at the Maury City Methodist Church Friday March 2, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. Maury City Funeral Home 731-656-2113.
