Betty Sue Carter's Obituary
Services for Betty Sue Carter, 106, will be 3:30 pm Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Maury City Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Moore, Rev. Mike Waddey and Dean Miller officiating.
Burial will follow in Maury City Cemetery. Mrs. Carter died Friday, October 20, 2017 at Alamo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Crockett County, daughter of the late Homer and Florence Lyons Boling. She lived her entire life in Crockett County, was a beautician and later worked many years as a clerk at Maury City Drugs. Mrs. Carter was the widow of Charlie Carter who preceded her in death in 2005 and a member of the Maury City Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter Charlotte Caldwell (Kirby), Alamo, TN, grandchildren Kim Taylor (John), Casey Long (Joseph), Nathan Caldwell, great grandchildren, Leah Taylor, Sarah Jon Taylor, Addie Taylor, Ethan Long, Blake Long, and Paxton Long. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday October 24th beginning at 1:30 P.M. Pallbearers serving will be Joseph Long, Tommy Butner, Tommy Moore, Trent Forsythe, Nathan Caldwell, David Buford, and Harold Tharpe. Maury City Funeral Home 731-656-2113.
