Betty Louise Smith's Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Louise Smith, 74, will be held on Thursday January 14, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Friendship Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Foropoulos officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. Mrs. Smith died on Sunday January 10, 2021 at the West TN Healthcare Hospital in Dyersburg after a short illness. She was born in Dyer County, TN daughter of the late Billy R. and Louise Morgan Barnett and had lived her entire life in the Crockett County area. She was preceded in death by her husband John Ed Smith in 2004. Mrs. Smith was a home maker and in earlier years worked in medical clinics. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Jason Sudbury (Susan), Friendship, TN, brother, Tommy Barnett, Portland, OR, grandchildren, Rachel Speer, Kaylan Sudbury, great grandchildren, Ella Kathryn Sudbury, and Paisley Elaine Speer. Pallbearers will be William Sorrell, Tommy Barnett, Jason Sudbury, Richard Vales, Brian Hickman, Scott Smith and honorary pallbearer Larry Sudbury. Due to Covid-19 the visitation and services will require masks and social distancing. The visitation will begin at noon until funeral time on Thursday January 14, 2021.
