Funeral services for Billy Ray Sweatt, 82, Friendship will be 11:00 am Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Faith Pentecostal Church, where he was a member, with Bros. Darren Howell and Gary King officiating. Burial will follow in Bowen's Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Sweatt passed away Thursday, September 7th at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Dyer County, son of the late Howard and Callie Sue Anderson Sweatt and had lived his entire life in Dyer and Crockett Counties. Mr. Sweatt was a retired farmer and welder having been employed by Dover Manufacturing. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Sharon Turnbow Sweatt, Friendship, TN, daughters, Tina Laster (Steve), Friendship, TN, Mitzi Northcott (Larry), Ripley, TN, Amy Howell (Darren), Corinth, MS, grandchildren, Jacob, Taylor, Millie, Elijah and Bailey Laster, Ambria Queen, Megan Algood, Christina Richardson, Colten, Cody, Cooper, Olivia and Channing Howell. nephew, Jeff Hill, niece, Teresa Porter and seven great grandchildren. His grandsons and nephew will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will begin at the church at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Friendship Funeral Home 731-677-2673.
