Mr. Brigham E. P. Scallion's Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. Brigham Scallion, 93, will be held on Wednesday July 3, 2019 at 2:00 P. M. at the Maury City First Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Agee officiating with burial to follow in the Oakview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Scallion died at his residence on June 29th. He was born in Crockett County, TN son of the late William Sidney and Mae Belle Midget Scallion and had lived his entire life in the area. Mr. Scallion was the retired owner and operator of the barber shop in Maury City until his retirement. He was a member of the Maury City First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for fifty three years and a veteran of the U S Army serving during WW II. He was preceded in death by his wife Alta Ruth Avery. Survivors include his sons, Larry Scallion (Bridgette), Parsons, TN, Gary Scallion (Marcia), Fairbanks, Alaska, Kenny Scallion,(Julie), Tuolume, CA, Andy Scallion, (Sherry), Maury City, TN; sister, Helen Page, Newbern, TN; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be the deacons of the church and Randy Tims. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday July 2, 2019 from 5 - 8 P.M. Maury City Funeral Home 731-656-2113.
