Charles Edward Hays' Obituary
Charles Edward Hays, 84, Munford passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, December 24th at Friendship Funeral Home with Evan Burns officiating. Charles was born in Trenton, TN son of the late Leslie and Opal Deere Hays. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Munford Church of Christ. Charles lived most of his life in Shelby and Tipton counties and was a trucker with Osmos Trucking Company. Other than his parents he was preceded by his wife, Jean Gwinn Hayes in 2010. Survivors include his daughters, Kathy Holt (Paul) of Bartlett and Sandy Newsom (Bill) of Friendship, 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 am until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
