Charles Franklin Jetton's Obituary
Charlie was born on December 31,1959 and passed away on April 24,2025 at the age of 65. He was born prematurely at St. Mary's Hospital in Humboldt, TN and he received a lot of love and attention from his loving family! As a child he played right field in Little League Baseball which was sponsored by Jetton's Garage. During one game his sister caught him lying on his side like he was too tired to play!! He also worked with his Father at Jetton's Garage in Maury City, TN. He graduated from Crockett High School in Maury City; attended Memphis State University and graduated from Union University.
Charlie was generous and had a heart of gold. He would help anyone in any way he could~~yes he would give the shirt off his back to someone in need! He was extremely intelligent and could do anything and everything mentally and physically.
He first married Fonda Gaye Steed and they had a son, Charles Matthew Jetton. Fonda passed away when Matthew was a child. Later Charlie met, fell in love and married the love of his life, Vickie Lynn Graves. Together they reared Matthew and Vickie's two sons, Trey and Jake.
Charlie was very successful in automotive sales and had many repeat customers. He was a grill master and gourmet chef. It was a treat to eat the food he prepared.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Nima Jean Agee Jetton and Charles Cates Jetton; brothers, Ernest Agee Jetton, Franklin Dean Agee and his son Trey Flippin. Survivors to treasure his memory are his sons Charles Matthew Jetton (Stefanie), Jake Flippin (Hays) and his life partner, Vickie Lynn Graves and his sister, Charlotte Lewis, sister-in-law Barbara Agee, nieces Mary Jacobs (Joshua), Anna Stegeman (Jason), Jennifer Taylor (Bill), and nephews Christopher Lewis and Jeffrey Dean Agee (Jolie). He was Pops to his grandchildren: Kaylee Jetton, Brayden Jetton, Ainsley Jetton, Easton Jetton, Michael Kilgore, Lilley Ann Kilgore, Daisey Kilgore, Azayllia Kilgore, Mack Flippin, Knox McPherson and Elizabeth McPherson.
A Celebration of Life will be from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm, Saturday June 7th at Maury City Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to NOAH in Crockett County, TN.
