Charles Preston Young's Obituary
A service of honor for Charles Preston Young, 76, will be held on Monday July 8, 2024 at the West TN Veterans Cemetery in Parkers Crossroads at 9:30 A.M. with Pastor Darian Brown officiating. Charles (better known as Charlie) died on Wednesday July 3,2024 at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt, TN. Charlie was born in Alexandria, VA son of the late Homer S. and Charlotte Anderson Young and lived his entire life in Crockett County. During his employment years, Charlie was a salesperson, most recently in the insurance industry and he attended Love and Truth Church in Jackson where he loved to serve as a greeter. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by two sisters Trudy Wissinger, and Charlene French. He leaves to cherish his memory son Derek Young (Kim), Dallas, Texas, daughter Andrea Castellaw (Alan), Alamo, TN and grandchildren, Mackenzie Patterson, Ava Young, Addison Young, Tyler Patterson, Abigail Young, Loren Castellaw, Katie Castellaw, and Karlee Castellaw. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon July 7th from 2 until 4 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl.
