Graveside services for Darren Gregory "Skillet" Taylor, 56, of Humboldt, TN will be 2:00 PM on Friday August 11, 2023 at the Cave Springs Church Cemetery in Chester County with Rev. David Moore officiating. Darren died on Tuesday August 8, 2023 at the West TN Healthcare in Jackson following a lengthy illness. He was born in Jackson, TN son of the late Jack H. Taylor and Leahrae Askew Taylor who survives. Mr. Taylor had lived most of his life in Madison, Chester and Gibson Counties and was a retired successful salesperson for Bumpus Harley Davidson Company. He served a short time in the TN National Guard and was a Baptist. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Denise Owens Taylor, Humboldt; sons, Hunter Taylor, Colton Taylor, Grayson Hart all of Jackson; stepson Jeffrey Blalock, Nashville; stepdaughters, April Blalock, Ohio, Amy Blalock, Humboldt; brother, Glen Taylor (Vanessa), Pinson; sisters, Debbie Smith (Terry), Elaine Newland both of Henderson, Cindy Helms (Jim), Hammond, LA and ten grandchildren. In addition to his father he was preceded by a brother, Jackie Taylor. Pallbearers will be Rob Spencer, Jeff McEarl, Charlie Wyatt, Brett Henson, Richie Howell and Phillip White.
