David Stephenson's Obituary
David Lee Stephenson, 79, of Union City, TN passed away March 4, 2026 at the Ben Atchley Tennessee State Veterans Home in Knoxville, TN, He was born in Friendship, TN son of the late Auburn and Emily Vickers Stephenson. He attended the University of Tennessee at Martin and was a retired supervisor of Goodyear Tire Manufacturing in Union City, TN. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
In addition to his parents he was preceded by brother, Richard, son, Chad, and grandson Chase. His love and commitment will be missed by all who knew him.
His humor and good nature could lighten up any situation. His generosity and kindness helped so many.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Kellie Stanford Stephenson, son, Eric and daughter McKenna; brother Barry (Lucy); sister-in-law, Glenda; nephews Todd, Daniel, and Joseph (Paige); nieces Brooke and LeeAnn (Willie); six great nieces and nephews; father and mother in-law, Thomas and Kathy Stanford; brothers-in-law Tommy Stanford (Amye) and Brian Stanford (Teresa).
The family will receive friends on Sunday March 8, 2026 from 1:00 p. m to 2:45 p.m. at the Friendship Funeral Home with the graveside service to follow at 3:00 p.m. officiated by nephew-in-law Willie Childers and Taps played by great-nephew Will Childers at Bellevernon Cemetery in Friendship, TN.
