David Harris Wimberly's Obituary
Funeral services for David Harris Wimberly, 64 will be held on Saturday Sept. 19, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.at the Maury City Church of Christ with Robert Hatfield and Kyle East officiating. Burial will follow in the Floyd's Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Wimberly died suddenly on Wednesday Sept. 16, 2020. He was born in Springhill, LA and had lived in the Maury city Community for the past twenty eight years. Mr. Wimberly was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War receiving a Bronze Star. He was a faithful member of the Maury City Church of Christ and was retired from the construction industry. He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Lee Wimberly and brother Keith Wimberly. Survivors include his mother Joanne Wimberly, Iuka, MS, wife Vicki Nichols Wimberly, Maury City, TN, sisters, Diane House (Jerry) Iuka, MS, Phyllis Lyles (Steve) Corinth, MS, brothers, Larry Wimberly, Olive Branch, MS, Don Wimberly, Minnesota, and special family friends, Candy & Michael Martin and their children, Molly, Devin, Blake, Tanner, Jack, and Cody. Pallbearers for the service will be Patrick Dwyer, Chad Tritt, Caleb Spitzer, Craig Beaird, Tommy Butner, and Michael Martin. Visitation will be at the Maury City Church of Christ beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday Sept. 19, 2020 until funeral time. Due to Covid-19 social distancing and masks are strongly recommended.
