Donald Gillon's Obituary
Funeral services for Donald Wade Gillon, 68, will be held on Sunday Feb. 17, 2019 at 3:00 p. m. at the Friendship Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Thompson and Joseph Agee officiating. Burial will follow in the Bellevernon Cemetery. He died on Thursday Feb. 14, 2019 at the Methodist Hospital in Olive Branch, MS. Mr. Gillon was born in Crockett County, TN son of the late Hollis and Rosie Lee Blankenship Gillon and had lived most of his life in Tigrett and Halls, TN. Recently he had lived in Byhalia, MS and was retired from Thomas Industries in the Maintenance Dept. He was a Baptist in belief. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Lynda Gillon, Byhalia, MS, daughters, Jennifer Peterson (O'Niel), Findley, Ohio, Donna Taylor (Jason) Byhalia, MS, sisters, Betty Gean, Dyersburg, TN, Janie Thompson, Dyersburg, TN, Sue Davis, Gadsden, TN, Lassie Young, Friendship, TN, brothers, Darrell Gillon, Dyersburg, TN, Tommy Gillon, Frog Jump, TN, two grandchildren, Jalynn Taylor, and Addyson Taylor. He was preceded in death by a brother, Woodrow Gillion. Pallbearers will be Bart Gillon, Shannon Gillon, O'Niel Peterson, Heath Davis, Mason Hewill, Jeff Gillion and honorary pallbearer Bill VanSant. Visitation will be at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday Feb. 17th. Friendship Funeral Home 731-677-2673.
