Dotson Bouvier Bouchard's Obituary
Dotson was born in Jackson, TN to John and Pamela Parish Bouchard on July 8, 2008.He attended elementary and middle school at St. Mary's School and was currently in the 10th grade with the Sacred Heart of Jesus Home School. Dotson was a fourth generation Jacksonian on his mother's side.
Dotson was a very versatile and unique young man. He started participating in plays with the Sacred Heart Theater while in 4th grade and had been in every show since then. He especially loved musicals whether he was on the stage or watching them at the Orpheum. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Choir and this past year he was a member of the Quad-State Honor Choir in Murray, KY. He participated in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for the past 10 years and was planning to achieve Eagle Scout within the next year.
Dotson had been kayaking with the scouts the weekend before his death and had all kinds of funny stories about their trip. He was an active member of the St. Mary's Youth Group and had attended the Steubenville retreat with them over the summer.
Dotson's true love, though, was music. He taught himself to play six instruments and was always looking for another instrument to try his hand at. His two favorites were his electric guitar and his antique pump organ. People from all over the United States have enjoyed the music that Dotson posted on the internet and had reached out to him to discuss music. Through those recordings, the music that he loved will live on.
Dotson is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Nelson and Hobert O. Parish, Jr. his grandmothers, Patricia Crouch Parish and "Granny" Billy Sue Luster, his aunts, Saundra Parish Dolbeer and Thelma Longmire, and his uncle, Jim Parish.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, John and Pamela Bouchard, his half brothers, John Bouchard, Jr. and Joshua Bouchard, his half- sister, Tracie Bouchard Reeves, and his grandmother, Fay Nelson. He also leaves his aunt, Carleene Wood, his uncles, George Bouchard and Prentice Longmire, Duane "Big" Dotson and Michael Gauthier and his godparents, Trad and Gretchen Longeway.
Dotson was also blessed to have so many people, both young and old, who cherished his friendship and that he held close to his heart.
