Funeral services for Elbert Eugene Jones,"Junior", 78 will be held on Monday June 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Friendship Funeral Home with Bro. Ken Spegal officiating with burial to follow in Bellevernon Cemetery. Mr. Jones died Friday evening June 9, 2017 in his residence where he was born, son of the late Elbert Eugene Sr. and Myrtle Hardin Jones. Mr. Jones was a retired maintenance supervisor for the Crockett County School System and a member of the Johnson Grove Baptist Church. He was an avid lover of animals and especially horses. He is survived by his wife Jean Walker Jones, sons, Anthony (Tammy), Allen (Carol), Paul (Cindy) all of Friendship, grandchildren Audra McDonald, Cristy Parker, Frances Jones, A. J. Jones, Carman Jones, Bethany Jones, great grandchildren, Blake McDonald, Autumn McDonald, Hunter Estrada, and Harley Estrada. Pallbearers will be his sons and Clayton Smith, Keith White, and Zack White. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Hamilton, John Pool, and Johnny Smallwood. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday June 11, 2017 5-8 p.m. Friendship Funeral Home 731-677-2673.
