Elvis Scarbrough East's Obituary
Services for Elvis Scarbrough East, 92, homemaker, will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Maury City Church of Christ, where she was member, with Dean Miller, Kyle East and Stephen Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery. Mrs. East died Friday, December 2, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was born October 28, 1924 in Crockett County, daughter of the late Walter and Zuma Agee Scarbrough. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry East and daughter, Brenda Castellaw. Survivors include daughters Vernell Ellington of Camden, Doris Cox (Louis) of Humboldt, Kathy Thompson (Martin) of Springville; sons Marshall Thomas East of Alamo, Freddie East (Malinda) and Dennis East (Debbie) of Friendship; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Nixon Brasfield, Harold Hall, Steve Brasfield, Billy Lynn Agee, Homer Joe Young and Terry Brasfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernest East, Danny Vaughn, Jeff Mosier and Bill Redmon. Visitation will be 4-8 Monday at Maury City Church Christ.
