Funeral services for Glenn Huston Stanley, 81, will be held Sunday January 29,2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Maury City with Chaplain Keith Guinn officiating. Burial will follow in the Maury City Cemetery. Mr. St Read Obituary
My Uncle Glen was the kindest man in the world. I only wish I could have seen him more often growing up. We did get to see him during holidays at Grandma & Papaw Stanley’s in Memphis Indiana which was the highlight of our holidays. He will be missed very much.
My very heartfelt condolences to Glenn's wife and family. Glenn and I went to high school together and both of us were on the track team. At the end of our senior year we went down to the Marine Corps recruiting station together and joined the Marines. After Parris Island we did serve a tour in Okinawa at the same time. We thought of each other the same as our brothers. Glenn told me that he was happy to have served in the Marines and had a job he really wanted and enjoyed as a wildlife officer.

As Chaplain for the Marine Corps League Capt. Jack Holland Detachment, it has been an honor getting to know this awesome Marine, brother in Christ, and friend. My heart hurts that I didn't know he had went down hill over the past few years! I really got to know him when his 1st wife, Ann, passed. He will truly be missed. What a Godly, gentle man! God speed brother, you rest easy in your heavenly home now! We have your watch now! Semper Fidelis and we will see you someday soon!
