Hester Pauline Davis' Obituary
Services for Hester Pauline Davis, 96, homemaker, will be 1:00 PM Friday, May 26, 2017 at Floyd's Chapel United Methodist Church with Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Davis was born in Dyer County, TN, daughter of the late Will and Pearl Gourley East and had lived her entire life in Crockett County.
She was the widow of J. W. Davis and a member of the Floyd's Chapel United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son Jerry Davis, a daughter, Ann Taylor, grandchildren, David Allen Davis, Courtney Dorse, Christopher Tucker, Jeffrey Climer and three brothers and five sisters. She is survived by daughters, Nancy Ward (Donald), Alamo, TN, Sherry Wright (Jimmy) Halls, TN, son David Davis (Annette), Three Way, TN, grandson and caretaker Jeremy Davis and eighteen additional grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren and twenty five great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Taylor, Greg Climer, Shawn Davis, Zack Lankford, Timmy Wright, Scotty Davis and honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren. Visitation will be at the Floyd's Chapel Church on Thursday May 25, 2017 from 5-9 p.m. Friendship Funeral Home 731-677-2673.
