Mr. James Alfred King's Obituary
Funeral services for James Alfred King, 90, will be held on Tuesday February 27, 2018 at 1:00 P. M. at the Friendship Funeral Home with Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevernon Cemetery. Mr. King died Saturday at the Tennova Hospital in Jackson, TN following a lengthy illness. He was born in Dyer County, TN son of the late Mark Thomas and Beulah Nash King and lived most of his life in the Friendship Community except for a short time in Illinois. He was retired from welding and farming having worked for Caterpillar and American Air Filter. Mr. King was a veteran of the Army-Air Force serving in WWII. He was Church of Christ in belief. He is survived by his wife Bobbie June King, Friendship, daughters, Paula Brasfield,(Bobby) Murfreesboro, TN, Deborah Parks, Oklahoma City, OK, Nancy Cunningham, Friendship, TN,, sons, James King, Jr.(Sandy), Jackson, TN, Jeff King,(Michelle), Dyersburg, TN, sisters, Alma Latham, Lexington, TN, Gloria Evans, Memphis, TN, eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded by a sister, Helen Lepper, and brother, Willard King. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday February 26, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. Friendship Funeral Home 731-677-2673.
