Mr. James Edward McCanless' Obituary
Funeral services for James Edward McCanless, 82, will be held on Tuesday March 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Friendship Funeral Home with Dr. Phillip Jett and Don McLeary officiating with burial following in Bellevernon Cemetery. Mr. McCanless died on Sunday March 10, 2019 at the TN State Veterans Home in Humboldt, TN after a lengthy illness. Hew was born in Friendship, TN son of the late Eddie Thomas and Helen Gertrude Gooch McCanless and lived most of his life in Friendship and was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean Conflict. Mr. McCanless was an excavator employed by King Bradley Co. and was a Baptist. Survivors include sons, James Scott Dycus (Denise), Burllington, WI, daughters, Edith "Edie" McGee (Bennie), Gadsden, TN, Mary Mount (Jeff), Brentwood, TN,
Amy Joe Wolff (Jimmy), Rome, NY, brothers, Doug McCanless, Bell Buckle, TN, Don McCanless, Robert McCanless, Gordon McClaness, all of Friendship, TN, sister, Louise Earnheart, Maury City, TN and Eva Jane Maxwell, Augusta, GA, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded by his wife Dorothy Inman McCanless and brother Bill McClanless. Pallbearers will be Lance McGee, Harrison Mount, Landon Mount, Anders Mount, Vincent Nord, and Adam Taylor.
