Jeffrey Len Castellaw's Obituary
Jeffrey Len Castellaw, age 71, of Maury City, Tennessee, passed away on September 9, 2025.
Jeff was a man who lived life at full throttle. He found joy in anything with wheels-four-wheelers, motorcycles, cars, and trucks-and was known for his skill at building custom racing bikes. His pride and joy was his custom-built four-wheeler "Top Gun", a nitrous-powered machine that could launch from 0 to 60 seconds in under three seconds.
A lifelong racer, he owned and operated West Tennessee Sand Drags for many years, where he not only competed but also built his own timing "Christmas tree' light system to keep races fair and thrilling. In recent years, he took on custom carving racing tire treads, designing unique patterns that gave an edge on dirt tracks.
He cherished his home in Maury City where his grandparents raised him. He spent most of his life there, including countless hours in his shop which he built with his own hands, devoted to the bikes he loved.
He is survived by his daughters Melissa (Patrick) White of Los Angeles, CA, Jennifer (Morgan) Richard of Germantown, TN, and Cassie (Domenico) Castellaw of Fort Lee, NJ, along with three granddaughters. He is also survived by his brothers Rayce and Jody Castellaw, his sisters Jayne Hughes and Jerri Dawn Castellaw, and multiple nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Martha Ann Castellaw, and his niece, Britney Denman. He will also be remembered by many friends who were an important part of his life.
In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated and his ashes returned to the home and land he cherished in a private, family-only ceremony.
