Services for Jerry Wilburn Nichols, Sr., 75, Southaven, MS will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Maury City Funeral Home with Bro. Cory Knepshield officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd's Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Nichols went to heaven Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Baptist Memorial DeSoto Hospital in Southaven, MS. He was a soil tester for Hall, Blake and Associates and a member of Clearview Baptist Church in Southaven. He was born in Maury City, son of the late Wilburn and Ruth Hall Nichols and had lived in Crockett County until 1988 when he moved to Southaven, MS. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Nichols and a great granddaughter, Alana Chinhada. He leaves sons, Jerry Nichols, Jr. (Trish) Ripley, TN, Joe Nichols (Melissa R.) Dyersburg, TN, Ron Nichols Coldwater, MS, David Nichols (Jennifer) Southaven, MS; daughter Melissa Robertson (Andre) Horn Lake, MS; brothers Edward Nichols Horn Lake, MS, DeWayne Nichols San Antonio,TX; sisters Ann Litchfield Jacksonville, FL, Janice O'Niell Largo FL; 20 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jerry Nichols, Jr., Joe Nichols, Ron Nichols, David Nichols, John Yancey and Stephen Cameron. Visitation will be Friday, May 26, 2017 from 5 - 8 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Clearview Baptist Church in Southaven, MS.
