Mr. Jerry Wayne Roberts' Obituary
Graveside services for Jerry Wayne Roberts, 70, will be held Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Clyde Thompson officiating. Mr. Roberts died Tuesday July 24, 2018 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital following a short illness. He was born in Crockett County son of the late Vernon C. and Nanny Mae Lanier Roberts and had lived his entire life in the area. He owned and operated Roberts Auto and Body Shop for the past thirty five years in Friendship and was a Baptist. He is survived by daughters, Anita Roberts, Friendship, TN, Sheryl Phillips (Stacey) Adamsville, TN, Christie Hobbs (Jim) Paris, TN, Donna Bell (Roger) Newbern, TN, Rebecca Roberts, Friendship, TN, brothers, Mack Roberts, Millington, TN, Richard Roberts, Maury City, TN, sisters, Betty Brown, Beech Bluff, TN, Genrose Bell, Humboldt, TN, Melinda Oberlin, Nashville, TN, grandchildren, Caleb Burton, Alexis Pierce, Max Hobbs, Grace Hobbs, Loucas Hobbs, Gavin, Bell, Kera Bell, and great granddaughter, Cora Burton. In addition to his parents he was preceded by a brother, Joel Roberts, sisters, Janie Finch, and Molly Irvin. Pallbearers will be Caleb Burton, Max Hobbs, Loucas Hobbs, Gavin Bell, Roger Bell, Jim Hobbs and Stacey Phillips.
