Jimmie Harris Rodgers' Obituary
Jimmie Harris Rodgers, 91, died peacefully on Monday Sept. 30 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was born in Crockett County son of the late Dan and Ruby Clark Rodgers and had lived in Crockett County most of his life. During his employment career, he was a self-employed truck driver. Mr. Rodgers was a member of the Barker's Chapel Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Surviving to cherish his memory is a daughter, Kim Hoppe (Mark), Jackson, TN, sisters Doris Helen Brasfield, Alamo, TN, Betty Jean Prescott, Crockett Mills, TN, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by sons Dale and Brett Rodgers. Graveside services for Jimmie will be held at the Crockett Mills Christian Cemetery on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. with Woody Weeks officiating. Pallbearers to serve will be Chris Beaver, Justin Crone, Randy Emison, Lane Rodgers, Randy Spann and Glenn Turnage. Honorary pallbearer will be Mark Hoppe. A visitation with the family will be on Wednesday evening at the Friendship Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p. m. Friendship Funeral Home, 721-677-2673.
