Jimmy Von Bedwell's Obituary
Jimmy Von Bedwell went home to be with His Lord and Savior on October 12th, 2022. He was born on August 11, 1947 in Crockett County, TN and was known by most people as "Brother Jimmy". He pastored Old Bethlehem Baptist, Three Way Baptist, Pinson Baptist, Cairo Baptist, Trinity Baptist, Zion Hill Baptist and South Fork Baptist Churches in West Tennessee for 57 years and was a member of Malesus Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his father James Carter Bedwell, his mother Mildred Williams Bedwell, his sister Sara Smith (Mac), his brother Terry Bedwell, his nephew Justin Bedwell, and 4 great grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Brenda; daughter Kristy Layman (Scott); son Mark (Kim); 5 grandchildren: Hannah Arnold (Matt), Cassie Brasher (Wil), Christian Bedwell (Kara), Shelby Bedwell, and Tyler Layman; 3 great grandchildren: R.J., Julia Marie and Ellie Arnold; and sister Pattye Starrett (Bully).
His celebration of life will be Saturday October 15th at 1pm at Friendship Funeral Home with burial following in Bellevernon Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. until the service begins.
