Johnny Ray Rodgers' Obituary
Johnny Ray Rodgers, 73, of Maury City died Feb. 6th after a sudden illness. He was born in Gadsden, TN son of the late Harry Harvile and Emer Jean Ross Rodgers and had lived most of his life in Crockett County. During his employment years, he was an employee of the State of Tennessee working in Highway Maintenance. He was married to Virgina Carolyn Dotson who preceded him in death in 2016.
Mr. Rodgers was an active member of the Maury City Church of Christ and was an avid outdoors man.
He was his happiest while being on the water, motorcycle, or involved in automobile activities. Left to cherish his memory is his son, Christopher Adam Rodgers, Maury City, TN, brothers, Joe Rodgers, Gadsden, TN, Tommy Rodgers, Atwood, TN and a sister Marie.
Services for Johnny will be held on Saturday February 8, 2025 at the Maury City Church of Christ at 1:00 p.m. with Ben Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Maury City Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends Saturday at 11:00 a. m. until funeral time. Maury City Funeral Home 731-656-2113.
