Joseph Carson Echols' Obituary
Joseph Carson Echols, 75, Jackson, TN passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Dyer County, son of the late Vernon and Maiefair Webster Echols. He was an Automobile Dealer, member of Friendship Baptist Church and had lived most of his life in West Tennessee. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Steven and Jerry Lynn Echols. Survivors include his wife, LeAnne Echols of Jackson; son, Anthony Wayne Echols and daughter, Tina Self (Joey) both of Pontotoc, MS; sister, Susie Sanders of Dyersburg; grandchildren, Melissa Curtis (Jesse) and Justin Self (Ashley); great grandchildren, Silas and Stetson Curtis, Briley and Annie Elizabeth Self. Graveside services will be Sunday, May 3, 2020 in Bellevernon Cemetery with Rev. Clyde Thompson, Jr. officiating. Pallbearers will be Glenn Smith, Tony Little, Travis Baggett, David Martin, Rick Reynolds and Joey Self. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Buchanan, Gaylon Baggett, Trae Strubee and J.D. Buchanan.
