Mrs. June Carolyn Stephenson's Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. June Carolyn Stephenson, age 82, will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. at Maury City Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis McMahan officiating. Interment will follow in Oakview Memorial Gardens in Alamo. Mrs. Carolyn passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Jackson Madison County Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Carolyn was born on February 2, 1936, to the late Finis and Vallie Mai Milam Brewer of Maury City, Tennessee. She had been a resident of the Alamo Nursing and Rehab Center for the last year. She loved to cook for her family, that she loved so much, and loved to watch John Wayne movies. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Fred Stephenson, and a son Jay Stephenson, and several brothers and sisters in-laws. Surviving relatives are daughter, Penny Roland (Rick), Bells, son Bucky Stephenson (Jessica) Alamo, step-son Jimmy Stephenson, Coxville, step-daughter Deborah Leszek (Joe) Count Point, IN, sisters, Eleanor Sutton, Alamo, Pat Williams, Alamo, Jayne Lovelace (Frankie), Maury City, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 13, from 12:00 p.m. until the service at 2:30 p.m. at the Maury City Funeral Home. Pallbearers for the service will be Jason Roland, Jonathan Roland, Bucky Stephenson, Trai Stephenson, Jimmy Stephenson and Don Laster. Maury City Funeral Home 731-656-2113.
