Mr. L. V. Reed's Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. L. V. Reed, 91, will be held Saturday January 23, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Friendship Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Reed died Wednesday January 20, 2016 at the Humboldt Emergency Facility. He was born in Lake County, TN son of the late Mack and Ola Davidson Reed and lived most of his life in Crockett County and was retired from the Auto and Restaurant Industry. He was a veteran of the Army & Air Force serving in WW II and a Baptist but had been attending the First Christian Church in Dyersburg. Survivors include his wife, Ellen Herndon Reed, Friendship; sons, Elvie Reed (Vicki) Dyersburg, Thurman Reed (Marilyn) Dyersburg; daughters Rhonda Greene (Mark), Pamela Woodard (Bubba) both of Friendship; brother Lennis Reed, Parsons, TN; sister, Yvonne Cooke, Alamo, TN; grandchildren, Mack Reed, Sean Reed, Cameron Reed, Megan Reed, Leana Green, Jonathan Woodard, Amber Woodard; great grandchildren, Bentlee Reed and Aubree Thurmond. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 11:00 until service time.
