Larry Algie Gourley's Obituary
Larry Algie Gourley, 76, of Friendship passed away on February 15, 2025.
He was born on May 29,1948 in Friendship, TN to the late James and Mary Sue Gourley.
Larry served in the US Navy and made his career as a farmer, most recently working for the US Fish and Wildlife Service. He was a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church.
Services will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at the Friendship Funeral Home with Susie Riley officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-7 pm on Monday, February 17th at the funeral home. Pallbearers to serve will be Avery Gourley, Tre Gaines, Josh Gegg, Ken Hogg, Drew Wirwa, Johnny Cherry and Randy Cook. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Brasfield, Gary Wright and Jerry Woods.
Survivors include son Ryan Gourley (Mary Kate) of Alamo and daughter Brooke Doss (Tony) of Brighton. Grandchildren Kate, Avery and Ruth Gourley and Finlee Brooke & Gracie Doss. He is also survived by his brother Tom Gourley (Nina) of Dyersburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 42 years Susan and his brother Franklin Gourley.
