Legenia Dale Rainey's Obituary
Legenia Dale Rainey passed from this earthly life to her heavenly home on June 12th at JMCGH surrounded by her loving family. Dale was born August 27, 1948 to Forrest and Lorene Malone Rainey. She was the sixth daughter born to this union.
She attended Crockett High School, where she graduated in 1966. She then moved to Memphis and began working at Union Planters Bank (now Regions), where she was a supervisor in the adjustments department. She retired after 40 plus years with the bank. When she moved to Memphis she met the love of her life, Donald Pruitt. When her baby sister went to be with the Lord, she left her 2 little girls in the care of Dale and her sister, Mildred (Midge). They nurtured these little girls molding them into wonderful, caring, young beautiful women.
Dale was preceded in death by her lifelong partner, Donald Pruitt, parents, sisters, Betty, Mildred and Deborah. Leaving behind to grieve her passing are daughters, Jennifer (Michael) Yoder, Arlington, Jamie (Carlos) Carman, Bartlett; grandchildren, Norah and Everett Yoder, Millie and Mia Carman; sisters, Barbara Chapman, Doris Camp, Alamo, Sandra Brasfield, Friendship; lots of nieces and nephews who absolutely adored their Aunt Dale.
A Celebration of Life service for Dale will be 4:00 PM Friday, June 16th at Maury City Funeral Home with Stephen Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd's Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers to serve will be Neal Camp, Steve Brasfield, Terry Brasfield, Braden McCanless, Taylor Lumley, Steve Gibens, Nick Gibens, Michael Sain. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Crutchfield and Mark Gibens. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 2:00 pm until service time.
