Lynn Edward Burnett's Obituary
Lynn Burnett, 81, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones Tuesday, April 18, 2023. He was born March 2, 1942, a lifetime resident of Crockett County.  He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Dorothy Woods Burnett and one grandson, Drew Stephen Rice. He is survived by his wife Faye Starett Burnett; daughter Laura Rice (Steve); son Greg Burnett (Maria); step-daughter Van Quick (Tim); seven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Lynn was a farmer and former co-owner of Farmers Friendship Gin, worked 17 years as a postal substitute rural carrier at the Friendship Post Office. He was an active member of many community-involved organizations. President of Friendship High School 1960, attended Tigrett Church of Christ and served as president of the Friendship Jaycees. He was a former director for Crockett County Farm Bureau and Vice President of the Board of Forked Deer Electric Cooperative serving a total of 31 years. Funeral service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Friendship Funeral Home with Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevernon Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers to serve will be Grant Burnett, Carson Burnett, LB Rice, Cleve Crook, Steve Rice and Brian Lussier.
