Family graveside services for Margie H. Whitehead, 95, will be held on Tuesday May 5, 2020 in Bellevernon Cemetery in Friendship, TN with Dr. Jimmy V. Bedwell officiating. Mrs. Whitehead, the retired co-owner of Maury City Lumber Co. died Sunday May 3, 2020 at her home in Jackson, TN. Mrs. Whitehead was born in Wayne County, TN daughter of the late Jim and Nona Barber Hendrix and had lived most of her life in Crockett and Madison Counties, TN. She was a member of the South Jackson Church of Christ. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda W. Bedwell & husband Dr. Jimmy V. Bedwell of Jackson, TN, two grandchildren, Kristy B. Layman & husband Scott of Jackson, TN, Dr. Mark A. Bedwell & wife Kim of Lakeland, FL: five great-grandchildren, Hannah Arnold & husband Matt, Cassie Brasher and husband Wil, Christian, Shelby & Tyler; & two great great grandchildren R. J. and Julia Marie, one brother James Hendrix & wife Jane, one sister, Geraldine Griffen & Husband Bro. Tommy. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty eight years Edd E. Whitehead, one brother Billy Hendrix, three sisters, Betty Jo McLean, Ellen Matthis and Helen Anderson. Pallbearers will be Matt Arnold, Mark Bedwell, Jimmy Bedwell, Wil Brasher, Scott Layman and Ty Layman. Memorials may be made to the South Jackson Church of Christ.
