Mrs. Myrtle Eloise Ballard's Obituary
Services for Myrtle "Eloise" Ballard, 93, Alamo will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Pond Creek Congregational Methodist Church with Bro. Jack Leslie and Bro. Ralph Poston officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Ballard passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare- Regional Hospital in Jackson, TN. She was born in Crockett County, daughter of the late Owen Rabon and Katie Bell Williams Climer and had been a factory employee for Kellwood Mfg. for over 25 years. She was a member of Pond Creek Congregational Methodist Church for 51 years and loved to be involved in all things there as long as she was physically able. Other than her parents, Mrs. Ballard was preceded in death by her husband, James Elliot Ballard; siblings, Wesley Climer, Helen Forsythe, Eugene Climer, Elbert Climer, Everett Climer, Robert Climer, Effie Mae Taylor, Tommy Climer and a grandson, Mitchell Rabon Ballard. Survivors include sons, Jimmy Ballard (Loretta) of Frog Jump, Tony Ballard (Remelda) of Humboldt; brother, James Climer (Sarah) of Dyersburg; grandchild, Andrea Lents (Matthew); great grandchildren, Colby, Rabon, and Atty Grace Lents. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hamilton, Ralph Poston, Colby Lents, Matthew Lents, Ken Taylor and Alan Taylor. Visitation will be 5-8 PM, Friday at the church.
