Mrs. Nellie Faye Pugh's Obituary
Funeral services for Nellie Faye Pugh, 84, will be held Thursday June 21, 2018 at 11:00 a. m. at the Friendship United Methodist Church with Rev Andy Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, TN. Mrs. Pugh died Monday, June 18, 2018 at Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Crockett County daughter of the late Harry Lee and Rubye K. Brasfield Prescott. She had lived her entire life in Crockett County and for the last 4 years resided in the Assisted Living and Nursing Center in Bells where she gained a new family which she loved dearly. Mrs. Pugh was a retired Day Care owner and known as Aunt Nellie by all her kids, a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church where she served in the Nursery Department and the United Methodist Women. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Billy McKnight and Robert Pugh, brothers Jimmy Prescott, Thomas Prescott, and sister Jane Giles. Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Wingett (Jim) Lakeland, TN, Mary Ann Chipman (Chuck), Friendship, TN, Cindy VanDuzee (Dutch) Lakeland, TN, sisters, Dorothy Cheatham, Lakeland, TN, Kathy Koffman, Gibson Wells, TN, Linda Murray, Lakeland, TN, brothers, John Prescott, Alamo, TN, Jerry Prescott, Holladay, TN, grandchildren, Tyler Wingett, Matt Wingett, Taylor VanDuzee, and Nicole VanDuzee. Pallbearers will be Jim Wingett, Chuck Fussell, Dutch VanDuzee, Tyler Wingett, Matt Wingett, and Blake Haley. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday June 20, 2018 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Friendship United Methodist Church P. O. Box 37 Friendship, TN 38034.
