Patricia Ann Thompson's Obituary
Patricia Ann Heathcott Thompson was born on April 11,1944 in Finley, TN to the late Lawrence and Louise Daniels Heathcott. God called her home in the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 27,2026.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Miller Thompson, sister Mildred Austin and brother Lawrence "Buddy" Heathcott.
Patricia worked at Kellwood Mfg. in Alamo as a machine operator for 7 1/2 years. Afterwards she attended Dyersburg Beauty School and graduated as a beautician, opening her own beauty shop and servicing the community for 34 years.
Church was a vital part of her life. She was a faithful member of Zion Hill Baptist Church where she taught various Sunday School classes, served as a nursery worker and helped with Vacation Bible School.
Patricia was a devoted wife to her late husband, Miller of 49 years, a loving mother, grandmother and devoted friend.
As hobbies she enjoyed working outside, reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Her greatest joy was her grandson, Andy.
She is survived by her daughter Cathy Shaw, grandson, Andy Shaw both of Friendship, her sister Mary White of McEwen, TN and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday, May 29th at Friendship Funeral Home with Revs. Bob Dennison and Trevor Sewell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 1:00 until service time. Burial will follow in Bellevernon Cemetery. Pallbearers to serve will be Joseph Garrett, Jody Moore, Ben Strayhorn, Jeff Strayhorn, Steve Laster, Jeremy Moore and honorary pallbearer will be Clark Branch.
