Peggy Joyce Hopkins' Obituary
Peggy Joyce Hopkins, 89, left her earthly home on May 31,2026 at the Alamo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a short illness. Mrs. Hopkins was born in Bonicord, TN daughter of the late Leon and Robbie Privett Smith and had lived her entire life in Dyer and Crockett Counties.
She was a devoted member of the Miller's Chapel Church of Christ until it burned and was a proud homemaker to her children and her husband Herman Elton Hopkins who preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Timothy L. Hopkins (Beth), Gastonia, NC and Tammy Ozment (Bobby), Friendship, TN three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A private family service will be held on Wednesday at Friendship Cemetery with Ben Williams officiating.
