Pete Williams' Obituary
Graveside services for Pete Williams, 89, will be held on Tuesday October 4, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in Bellevernon Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Clendenin officiating. Mr. Williams died on Saturday Oct. 1, 2022 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born in Florence, Alabama son of the late Fred and Evie Canerday Williams and had lived his entire life in Dyer and Crockett County. Pete was the retired owner of Williams Furniture and Applicance Store in Friendship. that he managed for twenty-one years. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean Conflict and a member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Heerdt Williams in 2016. He is survived by sons, Donald Williams (Linda), Friendship, TN, David Williams (Teresa) Friendship, TN, daughter Debbie Quick (Mike) Colorado Springs. CO, grandchildren, Donya Welch, Chad Quick, Kim Williams, J. P. Williams, Brittany Williams, John Williams, great grandchildren, Addie Jones, John Ashton Welch, Kaitlyn Williams, Roy Williams, Alexis Quick, Lana Quick and Florence Quick.
He was also preceded by a grandson Chris Quick. Pallbearers will be John Williams, John Ashton Welch, J. P. Williams, Casey Burnett, Ham York Haley and Jason Appel. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to his caregiver Luciana Smith. There will not be a visitation at the funeral home. Friendship Funeral Home 731-677-2673.
