Polly Anna Funderburk's Obituary
Polly Anna Funderburk, 62, of Friendship, TN died peacefully on Thursday Oct. 10, 2024 at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Dyer County daughter of the late Walter Miller and Bonnie Jean Taylor Thompson, Sr. and had lived her entire life in Dyer County. Polly was a retired employee of Walmart as a cashier where she acquired many special friends. She was a member of the Parrish Chapel Baptist Church and was married to Tim Funderburk for forty-four years who survives. In addition to her husband she leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Patrick Funderburk (Kelly Colvin), Friendship, TN, Brian Funderburk (Mary Katherine) Newbern, TN, sisters, Mary Knox, Alamo, TN, Bonnie Boone, Friendship, TN, Gladys Kay Reynolds, RoEllen, TN, grandchildren Holland Funderburk, Austin Jones, Brylee Funderburk, and great grandchildren, Charlee Jones and Chipper Jones. She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter (Bubba) Thompson, Jr.
Services for Polly will be held at the Friendship Funeral Home on Sunday Oct. 13th at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Travis Davison officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Boone, Phillip Holland, Chad Funderburk, Mark Burton, Scotty Fortner and Robert Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Jones, Jason Sollis and Justin Sollis.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening Oct. 12th from 5-7 P. M.
