Rana Paige Price's Obituary
RANA PAIGE PRICE was the precious only child of Randa Colwell Price and James Ray Price. She was born in Santa Anna, California on March 21,1967 and passed away on July 20, 2025. She had 3 years of regular childhood until her dad died of Polycystic Kidneys at age 27. What no one knew at the time was that it was hereditary. This gave us all pause. This beautiful, lively little girl with long curly hair blowing in the wind as she ran and played, was selected to carry on the family tradition. The possibility of kidney disease and shortened lifespan was a fact of her life. Yet she was always busy, always making plans, traveling, and eventually, became a Registered Nurse. Even then she was a traveling nurse!
Eventually, kidney disease took command, leading to years of dialysis and inability to work while on the kidney donor list. It turns out that dialysis isn't as much fun as it sounds, but she was alive and had reason to hope, and after about 7 years, she was blessed and gifted with an organ transplant. She was transformed. Rana regained her health and enjoyed a life filled with plans and accomplishments. Until it was not. But what a wonderful 5 years! So many things delayed her being fit enough to be on the donor list this time, which brought us to July 20, 2025. She was very, very ill, and could not be saved.
On July 4, Randa's husband, Dr. Mack Allen Perry died. His funeral was on July 13. Rana was so lovely and energetic at her stepdad's service. She was pleased to see her cousins and other relatives after several years. She even felt like having dinner out and meaningful conversation. These are the memories that will sustain us. Rana was so much fun, and one of the smartest people we knew. She loved Windjammer cruises, Disneyland, dolphins, Cirque du Soleil, wonderful times in London and Paris, and she was always learning. Rana and her uncle Bob were planning a trip to Angkor Wat. She was creative, generous and her gift wrapping was legendary. Rana felt all things were possible, and she proved it.
Rana is deeply missed by her mother Randa Colwell Perry, her aunt and uncle, Jann and Bob Snyder, and friends all over the place.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, July 27th at Friendship Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Foropoulos officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevernon Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:30 until service time.
