Richard Dale Childress' Obituary
Richard Dale Childress was born on March 16,1962 to the late Bobby and Jana Lannom Childress. He departed this life on October 22,2023 in Jackson, TN. Dale was widely known throughout Jackson for his positive and upbeat attitude. Most knew him from his many years spent at Golden Circle Ford or as the cupcake man at Woodstock Bake Shop. Despite Dale's cancer diagnosis in 2007, he never stopped living life to the fullest and spreading joy. He had a profound impact on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
He is survived by his children Erica Morse (Spencer), Jackson, TN, Matt Childress (Allison), Wildersville, TN, two grandchildren, Warren Dale Childress and Henry Lee Morse; his girlfriend and devoted companion Christina Smith, Jackson, TN, sister, Geni Holmes, (Wayne) Medina, TN., aunts, Nancy Bradford and Cheri Childress and best friend Chuck Upton.
If you ever ask Dale how he was doing he always responded "it's a great day to be alive". The family ask you to honor Dale's memory by spreading love and kindness with those around you and never take life for granted. Collect memories, not things.
A private celebration of life will be held for Dale's family and interment will be at Jones Cemetery in Wildersville, TN with Deacon Bill Winston officiating. Friendship Funeral Home, 731-677-2673.
