Sarah Ann Walters' Obituary
Sarah Ann Payne Walters, 92, entered eternal rest surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday Oct, 9, 2024. Mrs. Walters was born in Flatt Rock, AL daughter of the late William W. and Mary Harper Payne and had lived in Jackson, TN for the past fifty years. At an early age, she became a Registered Nurse and was an asset to her profession. She retired after many years of service from Haywood Park Hospital in Brownsville, TN and Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and was the widow of Robert William Walters who died in 1996. Those left to cherish her memory are children, David Walters (Cindi), Murfreesboro, TN, Debra Ann Walters Williams (Frank) Albuquerque, NM, Donna Walters, Santa Fe, NM, Rose Marie Walters, Jackson, TN, grandchildren, Christopher Williams, Melissa Williams Golden, Gregory Williams, Zan Braxton, and great grandchildren, Margot Williams, Jonah Williams, and Zadie Golden.
Funeral services for Sarah will be on Thursday Oct. 17, 2024 at 11:00 A. M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Gabe Bouck officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 A.M. with a Rosary being said at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in the Ararat Cemetery on Brownsville Hwy in Madison County.
