Mrs. Shirley Temple Meeks' Obituary
Funeral services for Shirley T. Meeks, 83, will be held on Wednesday April 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Friendship Funeral Home with Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Bellevernon Cemetery. Mrs. Meeks died at her residence on Sunday April 21, 2019 after a long illness. She was born in Friendship, TN daughter of the late Jim Bob and Louise Burse Colston and had lived her entire life in Ann Harbor, MI and Friendship, TN. While living in Michigan, she was employed by Edwards Bros. Printing as Press and Lead. After retirement, she and her husband returned to Tennessee. She was a member of the Friendship Church of Christ. Mrs. Meeks was preceded in death by her husband Durwood Meeks and is survived by several cousins and was loved by many. Pallbearers will be Paul Jones, Jim Rice, Tim Rice, Clayton Smith, Kyle Colston, and Cody Blitchington. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday April 24, 2019 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Friendship Funeral Home 731-677-2673.
