Tim R. Thompson's Obituary
Tim R. Thompson, 75, left his earthly home in Maury City on Monday March 24, 2025 after a short illness. He was born in Crockett County Tennessee son of the late Otha C. and Mattie Fisher Thompson. He served in the United States Navy and received his Bachelors Degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin. After his service in the Navy and his education, he was employed as a Park Ranger for the US Army Corps of Engineers retiring in Maury City, Tennessee. He is survived by a son, Mark Thompson, Cambridge, MA and was preceded by sister Diane Gilliland, and brother, Tony Thompson.
A service of remembrance will be held Thursday evening at 7 P.M. at the Maury City Funeral Home with Randy Tims and Gary Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends at 6 P.M. Interment with military honors will be held on Friday at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads at 10:30 A.M.
