Funeral services for Joshua Terrell "Shib" Brasfield, 82, will be held Saturday November 25, 2017 at 2 P. M. at the Floyd's Chapel United Methodist Church with Revs. Ryan Pattat and Tony Moss officiating. Burial will follow in the Read Obituary
Mr. Shib was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Enjoyed getting to talk to him whenever he would ride through the neighborhood. He will truly be missed. Prayers for comfort and strength to all his family.
SHIB BRASFIELD WAS ONE OF THE FINEST MEN I KNEW. HE WOULD LISTEN TO PEOPLE AND IF YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT SOMETHING YOU NEEDED OR WANTED HE WOULD GO ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. SHIB WAS A MAN YOU COULD LOOK UP TOO AND I AM GLAD HE WAS MY FRIEND AND MY KIN. HE WILL BE MISSED. PRAYERS FOR YOU SANDRA AND YOUR FAMILY.

I am just one of Shib's many nephews and I had the opportunity to visit him the day before he died.
Shib, let me, a city boy, "work" on his farm one week in the summer each year. It was a life lesson I shale never forget, but the best times with him was riding to his home at night and listening to the scary stories while on those dark and curvy country roads. The wonderful sound of his rich voice scared me silly.
I also remember his unwavering faith in God, his caring heart for all those around him, and his strength of character in all things he did.
God welcome Shib, and bless his wife and family in this time of loss.

I knew Shib and Sandra from many years ago when I worked at the Bank of Friendship. I loved to watch them dance together back when dancing was popular at the community centers. I was always glad to run into them and appreciate the friendship that we shared. So sorry Sandra for your loss. Prayers for you in the days to come.
Shib was a great man. He was a good example for his sons.
